UF Freshmen & Sophomores
Welcome to the freshmen and sophomore student informational page. The College of Public Health and Health Professions is pleased you are interested in learning more about what we have to offer you through our Bachelor of Health Science program. Our college was established in 1958, and we currently teach over 1000 undergraduates. At the undergraduate level, we are designed primarily as a pre-professional major in order to help prepare students interested in diverse health care careers. Over three-quarters of our seniors who apply to professional or graduate school get accepted. If you are interested in junior level admission in our college, you will apply to us in your sophomore year. We typically accept 215 students across our three junior-senior tracks – pre-occupational therapy, general health science, and pre-public health.
